Default Guild hall storage upgrade - Halls of Residence NPC

A Guild Hall "Halls of Residence" NPC that tranports you to a private room with a range of chests and wardrobes for personal storage.

This would be Guild Hall upgrade and each player would pay a one off fee for their own residence (say 1K).

The residence would be tied to an account and shared between characters, as with Xunlai boxes. It would cease to be accessable at times the player isn't in a Guild with a hall and appropriate NPC, but nothing would be lost.

This idea occured to me when I recently started playing Morrowind again and I couldn't believe the amount of stuff I'd stored in this one little room of my stronghold - drawers filled with clothes, a floor stacked with armour, crates of enchanted weapons, tables filled with gems and a bed covered in broadswords and staffs! And I didn't spot a single thing I could have lived without.

This is actually a good idea and don't see why many people didn't agree. Well you do go to your Guild hall since its your "home" but you also might need a place where you can show off what you looted visually not the trade button from person to person.

Just adding to the Guild House Idea:
There would be this one NPC who would give a list of members and you click on one (access permission also added to hide your name from unwanted guests) where it would only go to that person's room. You could hang your character's weapons , armor sets, a poster with your title progress, maybe a trophy case with newly added awards, and pets roam around that don't stay in your inventory or storage. Of course it all depends on how many characters you got and a limit would be set on that.

Actual Guild Storage:
- Materials, Items and Golds
- members buys keys to access storage then is later given a password by the Guild Leader to access
- Members are limited on how much they can take in Gold & Materials, Officers half, Guild leader all, Items shared to all

Other random idea towards Guild Hall:
Well i've been thinking that if Guild Halls aren't already being raided by something that they could get raided by threats from the campaign. For example if you fought in Factions you would get a huge raid by undead forces and a hole in the center of your Guild Hall where they almost endlessly come out of. You and maybe your alliance could work together to fend off these random events to keep your Guild Hall unless you want them to suck away your resources in your personal storage. If you don't fend them off from your Guild then they would start hopping into other Guild Halls that in the alliance.
If your playing in Original Guild Wars then you would get swarmed by the Undead and Bone Rangers/Monks and ect. Maybe rogue White Mantles or whatever. For Nightfall it would be the Kournans and/or Corsairs.
If you fend off the random event assault in your Guild Hall then it would go towards a title of "Guild Hall Protector Title" (if theres none). If you don't fend these off you would lose your gold and resources slowly as mentioned and also these random events would become frequent since there would be a mini -base in your Guild hall. Also these raids would also happen to guilds in your alliance as mentioned and just spread like wildfire. If you fend them off then your raiders would take longer time to prepare for another full scale attack and you would get a 24 hour message before each raid to be fully prepared. If your absent you would have a week to actually exterminate them fully before they actually camp there and need serious help (Alliance).

This is neat idea I think all players would like. The problem, however, is that increased storage mean increased cost to run the game. All the items take up storage on the servers, and the more places people have to keep items the most expensive it gets. 2 million players with rooms full of items would add up.

I do like the idea of increased storage in some way. Wardrobes for alternate sets of items would be very nice, and a second storage area like the Xunlai agents would be nice as well, however the one in the room probably should not be shared across all characters (it doesn't make sense for all your characters to share the same room). A small wardrobe to store maybe 2 sets of armor and a small, personal (not linked) storage chest for say 10 items would be really nice. Maybe the room could be customized somehow, with pictures and accessories.

Interestig idea, not sure how practical from Anet's side it would be. /signed from the player point of view

About random guild raids --> I don't think I would support this idea. Players want to play the game, not worry about if their hall will be taken over. I think it's a neat idea, but it would just get annoying unless you were in a huge guild and there were always people who wanted to defend your hall. I know my guild is pretty small, so we would all have to defend it every time. If the guild raid could be triggered somehow, like the same way guild battles are, that would be another story. A sort of PvE guild battle. That I would support, but random raids I think would get annoying since you would pretty much have to stop whatever you were doing and go defend your guild hall.

Well for the Guild Hall PvE raid part you would get warned 24 hours before such a raid happens so those active can see it happen in your alliance. You then would have a week to get rid of them which is the easy part but if you don't it would then require your alliance. After the third raid phase (2 months) then you would need to recruit another Alliance until you get rid of the threat. If you keep the raiders there then it would be like humans trying to get rid of a behive which would then be troublesome for newbie players. Well whatever its only an idea
